Fahrbazt is comprised of an archipelago of volcanic islands. These islands are inhabited by tribes of Melachwer, Salt Dwarves, who rarely mesh well with one another. Most tribes make their own laws and do not see it fit to follow the laws of another, if they don’t want to. The cities and governments of the Ashen Isles comprise of no more than villages and loose chiefdoms. Whereas Dwarves from the mainland spend their animosity towards Elves, Humans, and Giants, Salt Dwarves spend it amongst each other. They actually enjoy the company of outsiders more than they would a neighboring tribe.
Fahrbazt sees few visitors, and as such, not a lot is known about the island nations. They are seemingly not a matriarchal society, like most mainland Dwarves, and rather than worship Ruheema and her children, they worship Salacia, Goddess of Salt and Salt Water. Some believe Salacia to be the missing eleventh child of Ruheema, while others see this view as blasphemous.
