Chel-Yannah rests high in the Mountains of the Broken. They remain on good terms with much of the Human nations, trading with them regularly. In the independent state without a king and without Arcane magic, the Dwarves of Chel-Yannah have become extremely devote in their lives. Their devotion, however, is seen as abhorrent in the eyes of other Dwarves, as they worship Yannah, the Dwarven God of Rust and Greed. The Ursk, however, do not believe Yannah to be evil, and instead worship him as a God of Strength and Dwarven Right. The Ursk oversee the mountain stronghold of Chel-Yannah, the current King is Durrirrha Drakehorn Ursk, who comes from an ancient lineage who fought against Dragons for centuries and was pivotal in the war between dragons and man.
Hierarchy in Chel-Yannah is decided by Yannah, with those who have done more to please him earning a higher place in society, with the Ursk having done a great deal to earn high favor with their God, what having slain countless dragons before them. As devoted as they are to the God they worship, one would think they would be as pious and innocent as any priest aspires to be. However, there are many folktales and superstitions that the Ursk take in wayward travelers, promising food and shelter, and sacrifice them to Yannah as a sign of devotion. Worse off, some of these folktales go as far as to say the Ursk go out of their way to kidnap people to sacrifice them.
