The Honeygold Alliance is a collection of three states, Vathar, Uflil, and Qos. Each nation began as its own independent state; it was not until long after several wars ravaged the smaller, less militaristic states of Qos and Vathar that the three states decided to sign several treaties, the Vathar Treaties, uniting the states. These treaties linked the states and required each to fulfill certain promises, which included helping the other states during times of poverty, famine, war, and scarcity.
Rather than establishing one country or city as the capital of the alliance, the three countries built a grand palace on the newly named Citadel Isle, which lies in the middle of the three nations. The nations send delegates to Citadel Isle to discuss and negotiate economic, political, military, and rationing decisions for the alliance. The island is impenetrable and the palace is strong, and the alliance has taken great measures to ensure that the visitors are true delegates, rather than imposters.
