Sa Imréitigh is perhaps the oldest of the Elven kingdoms, however, it certainly isn’t the fairest. The city exists on the border of the clearing; homes, shops, and other buildings are located in the trees surround the clearing. In the middle of the clearing is a statue of Gwenhefar, first queen of Sa Imréitigh and protector of the Elven Forests.
Gwenhefar was and is regarded as a queen of light and fire to the people of Sa Imréitigh, Gwenhefar is still regarded as the patron of the forest and protector of the city. She was forced to kill her own sister, Gwenhwy, when she attempted to usurp her and later attempted to tear the city asunder. Gwenhefar drove a sword through her sisters heart, and the Formorians and Firbolg who aligned themselves with Gwenhwy were killed, returning the forest to its peaceful state.
Sa Imréitigh is less of a city and more of a community, Gwenhefar is still regarded as their queen, but her royal lineage passes on rule of the city. Their laws are loose and only major crimes are persecuted against. Jails are often empty, as punishment often takes the form of exile or death.
