Endonym: Myolgbörn
Bugbears are the product of Half-Giants who began to worship Myolg, God of Predators and The Hunt. They are the youngest of the Mutants, but have existed for a long time nonetheless. Long ago, a band of Half-giants found a long-abandoned shrine to Myolg. Their presence reawakened the God, who had been dormant for some time. He offered them power and the ability to hunt with the ferocity of beasts in return for their servitude and worship, and they agreed and became the first children of Myolg. They were given the fur of bears, so they might survive the harsh conditions of winter. They were given the claws of wolves so that they may tear the prey to shreds. They were given the teeth of a lion to eat the flesh from straight from the bodies of their prey. While many are bloodthirsty, some have still retained their sanity, either way they make great hunters and trackers, often selling their services as bounty hunters and dungeon crawlers.
