The Loxodon are a mysterious race, not much is known about them other than they are a race of pacifists who live on the Tsaelis Islands. They are isolationists, and few stories are known of them. There are stories of some Loxodon venturing outside of their own isles, whether they’ve been exiled or are travelling on their own accord is unknown. They worship strange Gods, although worship might be a strong word from the sounds of things, rather, it is a mutual understanding between their Gods and them. They are a scholarly race and are apparently very intelligent, possibly more so than any other race we know of.
Again, they are pacifists, a feat allowed to them by their size and sheer intimidating stature, as well as the strange nature of their home. Those who have attempted to invade or conquer their lands are usually never heard from again, the few who make it back tell stories that would make even the maddest of hatters blush. These stories tell of the islands lifting themselves out of the seas, moving around, and that, when they actually managed to land on the shores, the islands were much larger than they appeared, and the jungles seemed to stretch for an eternity. These “adventurers” would return soon after they left, but would tell stories of being lost for years.
Loxodon worship a Goddess named Swati, Goddess of Learning and Writing. Many believe the Loxodon were the first to develop a written language, believing it was handed to them by Swati herself.
