Goddess of Luck, Nobility, Names, Mothers, Creativity, and Marriage.

Lyberna is the patron saint and Goddess of nobility and names. Born a princess in a now forgotten kingdom, Lyberna soon became Queen, and a queen of the people she was. The populace loved Lyberna, and through her short life, she performed great acts of kindness for all, meek or strong, rich or poor. One of her more famous acts was her name giving ceremonies, in which she blessed newborns and bestowed upon them their given name, but parents even began to request Darce give the baby its name herself. She would also bless unnamed orphans with names, so that they may not live their lives without the “first gift.”

Lyberna amassed quite a following, but it wasn’t without garnering more than a few enemies. Many felt her interactions with the poor were sullying the royal bloodline. She was murdered very young, crucified in her throne room to be found by her citizens. At some point, Lyberna’s name began to be invoked during marriage ceremonies, as many took on a new name, thus Lyberna became the Goddess of marriage. Lyberna is also the ideal maternal figure and the Goddess of mothers, many pray to Lyberna before giving birth so that they may have a safe birth and be a good mother.
