Saint Upell the Blind is the Prophet of Patience. In life Upell sacrificed himself for his fellow men, enduring punishment for those around him. He would take lashings in place of a slave, or broken bones in place of a prisoner, all so that other may not have to endure the pain. Soon, it seemed as though Upell could absorb the pain from another. Upell eventually broke, by that point he was heavily scared, blinded, and bloody, but he lived on in peoples’ hearts as the most kind soul to live. It is thought that he could forgive even Arawn if it were to renounce its evil ways. Upell is the patron saint of the poor.
