Deadroot is a group of four city states with a few bordering villages. Deadroot is isolated in the far north, far away from even their closest neighbors, Illythkos and Thyste. Illythkos could surely stomp them out of existence if it weren’t for their less-than-savory position, and Thyste refrains from conflict unless provoked. Dvoy is a pair of city states on opposite sides of a fjord on the Dark Sea, and serves as a pseudo-capital of the state of Deadroot. The cities are connected via a large bridge, off which hang the bodies of enemies of the state. Polelsk and Ivagansk, the two remaining cities, are further south, and are the smaller of the four states. Polelsk is known for their massive fort, which houses several thousands of prisoners before their inevitable execution. Ivagansk is the southernmost city, and houses most of the troops of the nation, serving as the first line of defense. The nation of Deadroot is a nation in name only, the treaties they have with each other prohibit war with one another, but several families vie for control of Dvoy, and thus the rest of the nation, all four cities are just as secretive with one another as they are with outside nations.
