Oro, the country of gold and ivory, is central to trade and economy for the continent of Yludel, falling along both the Book Coast and the Stone Coast. Oro is crossroads for caravans and ships alike. The capital of Oro is located in the city of Lasp Edafi.
While Oro is known for the gold-laden land they possess in the Immerhills and the Coastal Mountains, they are also known well for their participation in the ivory trade. While the numbers dwindle in the lands of Oro, elephants used to be plentiful in the Lands of the Immerhills. Elephants are not the only source of ivory however; they also got their ivory from the walrus that surround the northern coast of Oro, as well as the island of Ketechea and the shores near Thyste.
The Oro folk all have great aspirations of striking it rich one day, some dream of doing so through great artistic talent, others seek fortune through great military prowess, few set out to become adventurers, seeking to bring down Dragons or slay giants to claim their glory. Because of this, the streets are booming every day with the sounds of markets, shops, and harbor workers unloading or selling their wares.
