GWIN-kal-et, Rhymes with “Win shall bet”

Guin-Calet was a great general and strategist in the war against the Aboleths, and commanded a great number of forces who gathered around the inspiring leader. He dug into the earth and harnessed the power of the molten rock that lay thereunder. His armor, a fierce red which stood out against the grey sands of Ylembic, was unscathed by the fire of the Aboleths, and his halberd could melt the earth beneath him.

His armor-clad torso connects to a horse body, with hide as thick as iron. He stands upon four steel hooves, able to ride over any heat unharmed. Among the fastest of the Gods, his gallop can be heard from miles away. He allied with Brigantia in the war against the Aboleths, Briganti crafted the peaks of the mountains and Guin-Calet set them ablaze, creating the first volcanoes for use against the Aboleths.

Guin-Calet, venerated for his knowledge of war and strategy, was soon trusted to provide insights into the enemies of man. Men of little faith began to turn to him for knowledge without worship, soon, it was not rare to see both armies look to Guin-Calet for guidance without actually paying him any respect.

The Centaurs are believed to be the descendants of Elves who settled near volcanoes to worship Guin-Calet. Guin-Calet gifted them with his image, with strong bodies and hooves quick enough to outrun the unpredictable volcanoes. Their purpose was to decide which cause was worth backing. Belenus was no longer worshipped by the masses, but there are those, even outside of Centaur communities, who still pay tribute to the Red Knight.
