Demons make their home in the plane of Woddrasil, also known as the World Tree, the Everwant tree, and the Abyss. They are evil entities with hearts as chaotic as the tree they reside in. Though demons are a varied species of beings ranging from the lowly Manes to the mighty Goristo, there are those that stand above the rest as lords of the Everwant Tree, those mighty few are detailed below. Most of these lords are only concerned with what happens in their own sphere of the Abyss, however, there are some, such as The Wyrds, who look after the tree, tending to its roots, pruning its branches of worlds that no longer contribute to the chaos it sows. Most importantly amongst their tasks is finding and conquering new worlds for the tree, the Norns are most well known for undertaking this task, invading new worlds and planting the seeds of Yggdrasil to slowly take the world for the tree.
Demons derive their power from fate, or rather, the denial of fate, that is, the preordained course of events that are to pass. The Walkyrie and other Demons explore the realms for people, nations, and worlds that they can steal the fate of and spin the fatal energy into thread that they may use later.
