Earthfjord is perhaps the youngest nation on the continent of Yludel, and is in many ways still emerging. Earthfjord is the result of the alliance of several larger villages in the northern hills and cliffs north of Oro and east of Thyste. Most of the land of Earthfjord is undocumented and unihabited, left alone to the elements. Earthfjord is hilly and covered in forest, it is untamed, just like its inhabitants, who want to live outside the rule of the greater nations. While the armies of other nations reach numbers ten times higher that of the poorly assembled Earthfjordic militias. The land plays in Earthfjord’s favor. The inhabitants know these lands better than anyone else, and villages are sparse and difficult to conquer, but easy to defend. Dense forests and steep hills, as well as a sharp-cliffed coastline accompanied by a fierce current, make Earthfjord near impenetrable.

The people of Earthfjord are a loud and rowdy bunch, the closest thing to Dwarves that a Human can be, in fact, many of them are half Dwarves. They are proud and are not afraid to show it, fighting for their independence instills a sense of comradery unmatched in other countries. People of Earthfjord keep mostly to themselves, but when gathered in a pub, treat each other like family, sharing beer, bread, and a good fight. They are not quick to submit to rule, and thus, the rule of Earthfjord is severely decentralized, the villages who comprise Earthfjord have decided to help protect their shared land.
