God of Intoxication and Consumption. Walkyrie.

The spawn of a mortal and a long forgotten Thunder God, Dionysus was born with great power, and was once a noble ruler of the Illythkosi. However, Glasya was able to wriggle her way into his ear and corrupt him. He performed vile acts that could make even the most foul beings despise his company. He murdered his own citizens, often consuming their flesh and drinking their blood, until his citizens revolted, and tore his stomach from his living body. The nation of Illythkos nearly fell, much to the delight of Glasya.

Now, Dionysus indulges his gluttony on the branch of Bacchus, and invites his patrons to do the same. He has grown to enormous size, his vile body has become larger than the sinking city of Minauros, now known as the City of Liber. He lies there for eternity, unable to walk anymore, the city is chained to his body to prevent it from sinking into the bog, any movement he makes shakes the city and splits the earth beneath it.

His endless and unrestrained consumption inspires greed in a way that Midas could not do himself. He inspires rulers to betray their citizens, hoarding food and growing fatter, while their people wither. His followers often indulge in cannibalism, and will often engage in deeds which starve a civilization, pushing them until they pray for Dionysus’ blessing, Dionysus is, thus, the enemy of many Gods of agriculture or hunting.

Bacchus remains a stagnant branch of bog and volcano, as it was before Dionysus. The City of Liber is no longer held up by slaves, but by the weight of Dionysus himself, the chains wrapped around his corpulent body. Slaves are put to other uses though, tortured through an endless cycle of being eaten alive, either by Dionysus himself or the many patrons who visit Bacchus to indulge their forbidden tastes, only to reappear into existence. Suspended above Liber is Dionysus’ mortal cousin Pentheus, who usurped his rule in Illythkos while Dionysus fought in a war between man and Dwarf. Pentheus was driven mad by Dionysus and eventually ripped apart by his loved ones. Now, he is suspended above the city by chains, ripped apart and put back together for eternity.
