Dead King of Lightning

Sthenios, was once the great king of Gods in a world long forgotten, absorbed by the World Tree. By all accounts, however, Sthenios is long dead, but the way the Abyss works is not as simple as life and death. One can be both, or neither. Sthenios’ dead body floats through the 12th limb of the Abyss, known as Astrapios, which is a world engulfed by a large, roaring storm cloud. Should one enter this layer of the abyss, their eardrums would rupture at the sound of of the enormous and everlasting thunder, that is, if the millions of bolts of lightning that go off every second didn’t kill them first. If one were to make it through all of that, there is potential that they could find their footing on solid ground, but the cloud would still make it all but impossible to see. One mountain stands above the rest, the lone mountain to stretch above the storm cloud, Mount Kasios, but no one has spoke its name in years. Atop the mountain sits a grand Parthenon, however, the luscious baths have since dried up, the columns look as though they are about to crumble, and the throne lies empty for eternity.
