Gods of Sleep and Dreams. Patrons of Gnomes, Halflings, and Goblins. Aeons.
The Uneiroi are a group of three siblings said to exist since the birth of the universe, the first creations of Upnos, the God of Sleep. Their exact age is unknown and some say they are older than the Archons themselves. They are the patron Gods of the Gnomes, Halflings, and Goblins, one sibling for each race. Ueus, the God of Dreams, was the first to be imagined by Upnos, and so came to reflect the true essence of dreams, as tools to help living beings process the information around them and turn it into memory. The next was Uobos, the Goddess of Nightmares, though many worship her as the Goddess of Omens instead; she was born when Upnos dreamt of the evil that could be. Uobos was supposed to help people understand the dangers they might face, and mentally prepare in a safe space, but her visage has been warped by the collective conscious surrounding her. The final to be bore of the dream was Uantas, the God of Prophetic Dreams, who was born when Upnos dreamt of what could come, to help steer dreamers toward important events.
Ueus is the God of dreams, which are meant to be a reflection of the real world, helping to reflect and absorb knowledge and wisdom. As such, Ueus is usually associated with memory and knowledge as well. Ueus is associated with songlines…
Uobos is the Goddess of nightmares and omens. Uobos takes much joy in the helplessness of the sleeping. Many Goblins do not view her as evil like much of the rest of the world, but rather as a kind God of warning. Nightmares, in their eyes, are not fears manifest, but rather our minds preparing us for the worst case. Still, the collective consciousness of the world has great power, even on the Gods, and the world being terrified of Uobos warped her appearance, and her children’s, creating the first Goblins. Now, many of the Goblins embrace their nightmarish visage, reveling in bringing terror to those who cast our their Goddess, while others want to restore the image of their once honored and revered patron and save their own race through their piety.
Final is Uantas, God of prophetic dreams and oracles. Uantas appears in dreams before moments of great importance. Uantas’ presence is usually felt, rather than him actually being seen within the dream, and is unwelcome most of the time as he is often the bearer of bad news. Nobody is certain whether one can escape the happenings of the dream though, as Frithsaet’s tapestry of fate is said to be set. Prophetic dreams of Uantas’ doing are usually marked by the dreamer entering a gate made of glass wrapped in laurels before the prophetic events.
