Up near the coastal Brandywine Mountains, sitting between two hills overlooking the Green Valley is the city of Pendrop. On the southern side of the first hill rests the lower district, houses of stone and brick run along this side, hillside farms pepper the outskirts. The Paper Road winds its way through the town side, connecting the farms to the town, and over a bridge to the upper district and finally, the University.
The University district sits high atop the hill, high above the surrounding city. The winding Paper Road eventually makes its way here, ending at the steps of the university. Obviously the centerpiece of this district is Pendrop University, which houses the world’s most impressive library, the Library of the Uneiroi. The Library was originally built by the Gnomes, in order to honor the Uneiroi, Gnomish Celestials of Dreams and Knowledge, and was at one time restricted to Gnomes and a select few Halflings. Restrictions have since been lifted; the position of head librarian, however, is to only ever be held by a Gnome.
