TheĀ BitterlandsĀ is one of the proudest nations on the continent ofĀ Yludel. Heavily founded on agriculture, TheĀ BitterlandsĀ is found in theĀ Bitterplains, a stretch of land in midĀ YludelĀ made up of plains and grasslands. TheĀ Bitterlands’ borders fall short of claiming every bit of theĀ Bitterplains, but the nation still lays claim to any plain that containsĀ Bitterwheat, a sour variant of wheat that lasts longer and produces a very distinct taste.

Bread made withĀ BitterwheatĀ is highly valued outside of theĀ Bitterlands, to the point where other countries have attempted to start farms within their borders; but it has never seemed to stick anywhere outside of theĀ Bitterplains. The sun, as well asĀ Bitterwheat, can be found on the flag of theĀ Bitterlands, due to their importance to the nation. Most citizens of theĀ BitterlandsĀ worship Gods and Goddesses of the sun, the harvest, and agriculture.

After the first kingĀ AdrĀ formed the capital, cities began to sprout in other spots in theĀ Bitterplains; when the king decided to claim all land in the name of the family, these other settlements demanded independence, the king gathered an army, and crushed the opposition into loyalty. Ever since, theĀ TheĀ borders of theĀ BitterlandsĀ have encompassed any land touchingĀ Bitterwheat, and they would rather burn an entire field of it that see it fall into another nation’s borders.Ā AdrĀ went down in history as a great leader and even ascended to near God status, many view him as the sovereign protector of wheat and the plains.

TheĀ Bitterlands’ army may not be as impressive asĀ āš’ļøOhnk, but they do have quite a large one. Still, their army is very well trained and the nation is very proud of it. The nation is generally cautious around outsiders, viewing them as intruders who wish to upset their natural order. Those who seek war against the nation are in for a long and hard battle, the army is large and well trained, and willing to die for their king and their land. The people of theĀ BitterlandsĀ have long been at odds with the people ofĀ šŸ«Seaclaid, a feud that dates back to the time ofĀ Adr. The two are on hostile terms and constantly bicker when brought together, if one even manages to do so. They also have ongoing feuds with theĀ āš’ļøMoufi, and the people ofĀ šŸŽEarthfjord, for various reasons.
