Endonym: Fos

The Chief God of the Elven pantheon, Frithsaet, was once a powerful fey who received visions of a grey world, and wished to paint it green. He created the Elves, two kinds to be exact; The Amfos, or Time Elves, otherwise called the Sun Elves, and the Oidfos, the Wood Elves. The Amfos were created to serve as guardians of time and the Oidfos guardians of nature. As such, the Oidfos, live in nature, while the Amfos live in towering cities that are more akin to a bell tower than a city. The Rrafos, also called the Drow, are a sect of outcasts of Amfos who tried to manipulate time to their advantage.

Half Elves, known among Elves as the Leathain, are usually thrown into the role of outsider. Neither Humans, nor Elves wish to call them one of their own. As such, Half Elves are subject to discrimination and usually need to work twice as hard to get to where they are. A clever half Elf will do whatever they can to conceal one of their halves, while a proud half Elf will flaunt their mixed status as a symbol of superiority.

Eventually, a group of High Elves began to manipulate time to their own benefit. They stumbled across Concerning Magic that would allow them to halt their aging, locking their visages in a more perfect state, edging closer to becoming the perfect beings they saw themselves as. When the leaders of the Amfos discovered their heresy, they cast out the accursed, and forbade them from calling evoking the name Amfos, instead they would be labelled Rrafos, the irreverent. Furthermore, Frithsaet imposed what they thought was their gift on them as a curse, their children would inherit their punishment, as would their children. Never again would the Rrafos know the true gift that is the sometimes-subtle differences between individuals that create beauty. Their curse would serve as permanent reminder or their treacheries, as well as a warning to the Amfos, to protect time, not fiddle with it.

The Elvish settlements on the island off the west of Yludel is known as Coróin Thiar, and contains many communities of Elves, from Wood Elves to Sea Elves, to even some Drow where the underdark shows through. However, the most apparent race on Coróin Thiar is Sun Elves, a more stuck up race in the eyes of many. They have built several cities scattering the peninsula, each more elegant than the former. Moon Elves can be scattered around the continent, in all great cities and villages alike. Moon Elves’ natural predisposition to interaction leads them to enjoy society, rather than shutting off in favor of their own kind.
